To support our global transformation project, we are focusing on Production Optimisation across our global dairies to deliver a lean and cost efficient supply chain.
Our Manufacturing Intelligence & Technology team play a role in this by using data analytic tools to convert process data into process understanding to enable optimization, e.g. to increase yield and reduce waste at our dairies. We are driving projects all the way from analytical preliminary work, over continuous improvements of product and production processes to evaluation. We use relevant statistical methods and Manufacturing Intelligence tools, like QbD, DoE, SPC and advanced sensors.
The team is primarily located in Arla Headquarter in Viby J.
About the Internship
One of the focus areas in our work on Production Optimisation is implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) at the dairies. Due to this the following tasks will be main objectives for the internship:
- In collaboration with colleagues to roll-out SPC for product quality parameters and production process variables to the dairies, primarily in DK, SE and CE.
- Support competency development on SPC at the dairies.
The tasks listed is to actively enable production to take fact-based decisions for process and product optimisations at our dairies.
Who are you?
You could be a student within Food or Dairy Science, Chemometrics, Statistics or similar Engineering discipline. You have a theoretical foundation in statistical process control (SPC) and are an experienced user of Excel and/or other tools for statistical calculations. Beside this you have a flair for and/or interest in IT.
As a person, you easily and naturally connect to people – and listen and collaborate effortlessly with colleagues. You find it interesting to develop yourself and others.
What do we offer?
During the internship you will get to transfer your theoretical knowledge on SPC into practical knowledge, build your IT competences e.g. learn new SPC software and how to connect to databases. You will develop your communication skills since you will need to talk to both specialists and non-experts.
