The site employs around 250 people, operating 24 hours a day 365 days a year producing award winning Butter and Milk Powder. Working with the site management team you will drive and improvements in efficiencies in the planning and scheduling on site to enable continuous improvement and enhanced performance in line with the Company strategy. You will develop the skills and competencies within our Warehouse teams to improve efficiencies and secure requirements of our internal and external customers.
You will ensure continuous and active development of strong working operational knowledge across the Planning and Logistics function, promoting shared understanding and best practices. Applying LEAN principles will be core to your operational approach and you will constantly review operations and process confirm adherence to processes and procedures.
You will work closely with multiple disciplines within Arla UK and Denmark as well as many organisations that work with us. You will need to build strong working relationships with suppliers, milk & cream supply office , Global planning ,Commercial and Trading teams to name but a few.
The role will manage the relationship with third party hauliers and warehouses as their customer to ensure service levels meet our needs including EOY stock counting , capacity management and collection / delivery schedules.
You will be a member of the Senior Management Team on site reporting to the Site Director. You will help shape site policies and procedures and ensure their implementation. You will also represent Westbury in various forums across the Arla organisation.

The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience in a Supply Chain discipline, ideally gained within in a food manufacturing environment. You will be driven to improve safety, cost management and seek opportunities to drive business growth We are looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate and inspire people to perform on a day-to-day basis. Above all, you will strive to drive improvement at all times by taking an innovative, creative approach and using your imagination to develop ways of making things better. You will work both independently and as part of a team and therefore should have the ability to work in an analytical and structured manner, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with minimal supervision and taking responsibility for organising personal workloads. You will not be phased by short term priority changes and will thrive on Scenario Planning and Problem Solving as part of your day to day activities. You will be comfortable working with Microsoft office.
Ideally you will be a graduate with 4+ years’ experience within supply chain management preferably a FMCG environment.
