As our HR Manager, you are able to work hard with HR issues, drive and develop our local HR workstreams as well as anchor the HR perspective both operationally and tactically in a fast moving and dynamic business development environment.  You relish the challenge of being a hands-on HR operator working throughout the people cycle supporting people managers in building their teams and embedding Arla’s people management philosophy within our business teams across the region.

You will be located on our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As our HR Manager, you will become a part of the SEA Arla Foods Team in Malaysia and will work with the Regional and Country Leadership teams to build strong and lean organisations to deliver our ambitious business goals. You can get operational and tactical tasks in parallel. This means, among other things, driving and developing local HR work by implementing our HR processes in, for example, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance & Talent Management. You will be the HR champion for the team – supporting line managers to build, on-board and manage their team at an operational level, whilst driving the Arla HR model into the DNA of our new people managers. You will report to the Senior HR Business Partner from Arla’s International Business Group in Copenhagen and have a strong dotted line to the VP for the SEA Region.

In order to succeed, you need to have

  • A passion for people and HR that is hard to hide
  • University degree in HR and experience from similar work with the focus on development of people and organization or experience corresponding to the education requirement.
  • Experience of working with HR processes within a major international company
  • Demonstrable experience in search, selection across the SEA Region and markets .
  • Experience in adapting HR processes to local businesses..
  • You have excellent IT and administrative skills. Since you will be part of a global organization, you need to be able to speak and write fluently in English.

You are a positive and responsive team player who dares to think innovatively. You see potential problems as developing challenges rather than obstacles. In addition, you have a proactive and consultative approach, a good communicative ability and good social skills. This means that your work results in changes throughout the organization and you have the ability to do it in a humble and enlightening way. Easily being able to create good and professional relationships at all organizational levels is also highly valued in this role.
