Underpinning everything we do at Arla is the partnership that links together the 12,000 member farmers that make up our cooperative.  A vital part of that success is the education and training and support we provide to ensure the highest standards and levels of training across seven North and Western European countries.

Our programme of training and on-farm support benefits our members and helps them to integrate into the cooperative, run better farms and act  in the member democracy. This is a unique role at the heart of our business, interacting with members and elected members, shaping, developing and running a comprehensive programme of courses which directly benefit both new and existing members.

Your role

Our Head of Global Elected Member Training & Integration is a high profile role, working in a matrix structure to deliver excellent results, with plenty of support from colleagues. Although based in Denmark, you will collaborate with people from across Europe and interact regularly with the Board. You’ll relish the opportunity to set up and manage courses and training programmes which provide real value to new members helping them to integrate fully into Arla and to elected members’  introduction, networking and ongoing education and training. In addition, you’ll run the secretariat for our Global Training Committee, assisting in the development, planning and evaluation of  education programmes and of cooperative meetings.

Your credentials

Together with a relevant Master’s level qualification, preferably related to dairy or agriculture, you will demonstrate a relevant professional track record within either an agricultural organisation, or a similar membership or trade body. Certainly,  you will have proven experience of establishing and running learning and development programmes with a focus on integration and engagement.

A natural communicator, you are organised and good with people; comfortable influencing people and working across complex management structures. Fluent in written and spoken English, you also ideally have language skills in German, Swedish and/or Danish.
