Global Senior Manager, Milk Quality and Food Safety - Aarhus

Do you want to help strengthen Arla’s focus on raw milk quality and develop and lead the implementation of global standards in this area? Then this new position is your next natural career move. You will join Global Milk Production and Quality Assurance (GMPQA), in Aarhus, which is a global function that leads our quality assurance work within milk production.

We aim to ensure harmonised standards and operations for farmers in 7 countries, covered by our quality programme Arlagården and our sustainable dairy farming strategy. As Senior Manager for Global Milk quality and food safety, you will get the chance to impact our agenda and work with professionals dedicated to solving our local and global challenges.

 Develop and execute strategy and business plans

As Global Senior Manager, it is your responsibility to challenge and validate controls, procedures and provisions, which are put in place to ensure raw milk quality and food safety. You have the overall responsibility for our contracts and analytical specifications relating to the external labs performing our quality analysis for settlement. Moreover, you lead Arla’s global screening programme of contaminants and have the overall responsibility for making decisions and managing global crises when you discover any non-conformance with food safety and milk quality related to the milk production at the farms.

You have and are able to build a strong network, which you utilise to actively seek knowledge of scientific developments, legislation and competitor analysis, all to improve the standards within this specialist area and you work as a strong consultant for Arla’s business groups as well as with our customers.

Furthermore, you are responsible for implementing projects cooperating closely with other GMPQA specialists and the entire GMPQA team to ensure a strong and reliable Arlagården quality programme.

Milk quality and food safety specialist

You have a Master’s degree in Dairy Science and Technology or similar, and at least 5-10 years of experience from a quality environment and laboratory work, and/or experience from the food industry. Likewise, you have experience with project or people management and understand the cooperative mindset essential to Arla. You are fluent in English and least one other language; Danish, Swedish or German.

As an emphatic and strong communicator, you understand how to get stakeholders’ buy-in in projects and change processes. You act as an innovative and global specialist in the field of raw milk quality, where your inherent overview and coordination skills come into play when implementing global standards.
