Are you looking for an opportunity to exert your advanced statistical and project management skills in a setting of many stakeholders across our global production sites? Then we could have the job for you as Excellence Manager in our Supply Chain – Production Optimisation department. We are driving product and process optimisation projects across Arla Foods’ dairies globally.
Identify, analyse and implement improvements
As part of a global transformation project, we are focusing on Production Optimisation across our global dairies to deliver a lean and cost efficient supply chain. Our Product & Process Technology Optimisation team play a role in this by using Manufacturing Intelligence tools to convert process data into process understanding to enable optimisation to eg. increase yield and reduce waste at our sites.
The main purpose of your job is to support product and process optimisation projects, to deliver the Arla strategy all the way from analytical preliminary work, over continuous improvements of product and production processes to evaluation using relevant statistical methods and Manufacturing Intelligence tools, like QbD, DoE, SPC and advanced sensors.
Overall, you support the dairies in using our statistical tools and software across the organisation, for example supporting the sites in designing experiments relevant for optimisation purposes and statistical process control. You will also work with the sites to conduct trouble shooting.
To summarise, in this job you proactively enable production to take fact-based decisions for process and product optimisations at our sites.
Open-minded expert within Manufacturing Intelligence
You hold an MSc in Food or Dairy Science, Chemometrics, Chemistry or similar Engineering discipline which has given you the theoretical foundation to become an expert in statistical methods and spectroscopic in-line sensors. Ideally, you have 5 years of experience in a similar role but we would also be interested to look at applications with a less experience.
Whether your experience derives from the food, pharmaceutical or another industry, it is key that you understand production processes. Your background covers vast experience using univariate and multivariate data analysis on process data as well as solid experience with in-line measurements and process optimisation using Manufacturing Intelligence.
It motivates you to achieve sustainable results, and you continuously think in terms of utilising process data in an even better way. You thrive on ensuring fact-based recommendations to management for decision-making, showing initiative and power. It comes naturally to you to connect to people, and you are a person who listens and collaborate effortlessly with colleagues regardless of their position. You take pride in following through on your tasks and ensuring timely deliveries and consistent communication to everyone in the projects. Finally, you have a solid command of English, and preferably also German or a Scandinavian language.
You will be working across various dairies, primarily in Denmark, but also in UK, Germany and Sweden. Hence, you must be flexible to spend an amount of your time away from your base in Aarhus, Denmark.
