Arla Foods Stourton have an exciting opportunity in their QEHS team for an EHS Co-ordinator. The dairy, located in south Leeds, is one of the largest in the UK with the capacity to produce 750million litres of milk per year.

This is a critical role on site to protect the safety and wellbeing of our 450 colleagues, and ensure the maintenance of a strong environmental management system. You will work closely with colleagues at site, the Group QEHS team and contractors to provide advice, support and hands on assistance. You will also monitor and implement measures to continue compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and the continued improvement of the site business performance.

We’re looking for people who have an Environmental, Health and Safety background – ideally gained within a manufacturing/FMCG environment – who hold a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) or are working towards this. This is a role that requires interpretation of data and report collation, so strong attention to detail and IT skills are essential.
Candidates should also have strong environmental knowledge, including of the ISO 14001 standard. This should either be from an overall understanding of the standard and/or from past implementation.
You will have a positive, organised and resilient approach, be a confident communicator, with the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders whilst possessing a forward-thinking approach to bring new ideas to fruition.
