This training programme was a first for our sector in 2009 and is a ground-breaking initiative aimed at producing the future decision makers of the dairy industry.
You will need to take the lead in driving your own development and show energy, drive and passion as you work towards your BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance - and a career with Arla Foods. On this 4 year structured programme you will spend residential periods each year gaining technical know-how at a purpose-built, multi-million training dairy at Reaseheath College in Cheshire, the specialist training academy for our industry. When you're not at college, you'll be based at an Arla site putting your learning into practice.
You will need to impress us with your desire to learn and your ability to take the lead and make your career ambitions for the future a reality. You will also need 3 GCSE’s, Level 6 (Grade B) in Maths, Level 5 (Grade C) in Science and Level 5 (Grade C) in English, plus 1 A Level or the equivalent and an interest in the dairy industry. Candidates must be prepared to live away from home (12 weeks in Year 1, 18 weeks Year 2, 12 weeks Year 3, split into 2 blocks) whilst at College. You may, from time to time, need to visit other sites to gain a full understanding of a certain topic.
