Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with an ambition to become the true global leader of the value-added whey business.

You will be part of the Strategic Business Unit Health & Performance Nutrition based in AFI headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. We develop, document, market, and sell specialized ingredients for the global medical, health and sports nutrition industry.

Develop sales to sports and health nutrition segments with your expert knowledge in market development and customer needs by translating this knowledge to strategic initiatives

As the intermediate link between our sales force, marketing, application department, R&D and supply chain, your expert market intelligence and knowledge is key to success and growth of our business. Internally it is essential to use this knowledge to develop our market segments and product strategies and execute on this by conceptualization of new business opportunities such as new concepts and ingredient developments. Externally towards the regional sales offices you play an essential role in setting direction and priority for their activities. In the direct work with customers your main responsibilities will be to present ingredients and the linked scientific evidence, market trends, support customers with technical knowledge about ingredient functionality, and drive customer projects. Key enablers externally are strong customer relationships, nutritional insights, market knowledge and a great overview of the product portfolio.

Nutrition background and a strong commercial mindset

You have an educational background in Human Nutrition, Biomedicine or the like and ideally previously worked with sales, marketing or business development in the food or pharmaceutical industry. Your track record demonstrates your strong commercial mindset. You are proficient in verbal and written English and possess excellent presentation skills.

Even though your platform is nutrition, you have a natural flair for business, and you are self-propelled, possess a high drive as well as extraordinarily good communication and interpersonal skills. You enjoy working with colleagues at all levels in the organization and from various cultural backgrounds. With your natural curiosity, you are eager to learn and share your knowledge. Finally, you must be capable of handling and solving many tasks simultaneously as you will be working in a dynamic environment. You can look forward to gaining an extensive contact base and should expect approximately 50-70 travel days yearly.
