The job – understanding whey ingredients and share the findings
AS&T is an exciting workplace where innovative food products with AFI ingredients are produced in the pilot plant and subsequently analyzed and characterized in the laboratory. We inspire our customers with the possibilities that AFI ingredients provide and provide them support on the use of AFI ingredients. You will be part of the sales organization where you will play a central role in documenting the function of our whey ingredients in various food and powder applications facilitating that our ingredients efficiently are brought to the global market. In the open position, you will also collaborate with our colleagues in R&D, e.g. with regard to the development of new whey ingredients designed for specific application purposes.
We are looking for an outgoing and independent profile that will contribute to a better understanding of our ingredients’ function in applications. It is important that you are able to quickly decipher the business needs and meet these demands. You will be involved, and often take lead on various cross-organizational projects, training, and tasks where flair for communication and stakeholder management is essential. Your position will be central for the continuously development of the analytical set-up of the AS&T laboratory, which is a modern laboratory equipped with instruments to perform rheological and textural analyses of food products and food model systems. In addition, we have the set-up to do some functional analyses of powder.
The candidate – team player with analytical mind-set and flair for communication
You hold a master degree or PhD in food science or similar, and if you have experience with project management and physical analyses of food products and powders, it will be a great advantage. Experience with experimental design and statistic will also be a plus. You need to have a fundamental insight into protein chemistry, and if you have experience with innovative processes, product development, food processing and dairy chemistry, it will be highly valued. It is crucial that you are a team player and have a curious mind-set where you seek to understand and explain observations and analytical results. As a person you are analytic, passionate and it is important that you have interest in, and experience with, hands-on laboratory work. Industrial experience from the food industry will also be appreciated. Finally, you are able to disseminate academic information to your stakeholders – also in English.
