Then join the Application Science & Technology Centre within Arla Food Ingredients (AFI) in Aarhus. Innovative development of protein beverages
Your overall objective will be to develop new applications and build protein knowledge within the beverage area focusing on nutrition and physio-chemical properties. You will participate in development of new products and beverage concepts either made by AFI or in cooperation with selected customers. You will manage and participate in internal and external projects, formulate new recipes, set up pilot scale and laboratory trials as well as transfer new trends and protein functionality into products. Your work will involve the building and expansion of strong cross-functional teams, both among other Food Technicians and Scientists across AFI as well as Nutrition Scientists within the company. Seminars and customer meetings will be a natural part of your job, and as such, you will build up a range of contacts to customers, suppliers and other Scientists within the area.
Based on your technical background, you contribute with your expertise within new product development, formulation of nutrition products and process knowledge to secure optimal product launches. Ideally you can look forward to use your creativity and innovative mind-set to impact our organisation while developing your skills and future career opportunities. The position will require some travel activities.
Specialist with strong interest in product and concept development
You hold a Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or similar, and if you have knowledge within protein chemistry, use of ingredients like emulsifiers and stabilisers it will be a plus. You have experience within product development, project management and food processing. Experience with UHT equipment, will be an advantage. But more importantly, you take a strong interest in developing your skills within these areas. Seeing your ideas and innovations be brought into practise when new products are launched to the market is a powerful motivation for you.
As a person you are open-minded and positive, innovative and a skilful communicator, who is able to network with many important stakeholders. Moreover, you know that proper and systematic documentation is an important part of successful project management, and you are able to get your points across in an efficient manner in order to achieve results successfully. You are proficient in written and spoken English.
