New director for Arla Sweden
Christer Åberg has been appointed Director of Arla Foods Sweden.
Since 2006, Christer has been CEO of Atria Scandinavia AB, a Swedish subsidiary of the listed food company, Atria, where he contributed to driving growth through acquisition as well as to organic growth. Prior to this, Christer spent 16 years with Unilever, including as CEO for Unilever Home & Personal Care in the Nordic area as well as holding senior positions in the Middle East and Europe. "Christer represents a clear and open leadership style characterised by energy and a will to drive the business, colleagues and brands forward,” says Arla Foods’ Director for the Nordic area, Hans-Åke Hammarström. “I’m delighted with the experience and the commitment he will bring to Arla. He is the right person to continue Arla’s development in close dialogue with employees, customers, sup-pliers and owners.” "It’s an honour to have been given the task of heading up Arla in Sweden and I’m looking forward to it. Christer Åberg, 43, lives in Södertälje with his wife and three children. The family takes an active interest in sport and the outdoors. Christer Åberg will begin his new job no later than 1 January 2010.
