Arla Foods is among the sponsors of a new international school near the Group’s corporate head office outside Århus, Denmark.

”With an international school in the area, it will be easier to attract international staff because they’ll know that there are educational facilities for their children nearby,” says Jesper Ritz Secondment Officer at the Group’s Human Resource Centre.

A total of 42 sponsors have contributed DKK 1.4 million to the school which will open in August with 20 pupils in two classes.
All teaching will be in English and the curriculum will be based on the Swiss-based, international IB programme which ensures a common platform for all affiliated international schools worldwide.

”This means that Arla employees that are seconded abroad have the opportunity to let their children continue in an international school when they return to Denmark,” Jesper Ritz explains.
