Arla Foods will be represented when EXPO 2000 opens in Hannover in Germany on June 1 when, along with Carlsberg, Danisco and The Federation of Danish Pig Producers and Slaughterhouses, Arla Foods will be part of the "Food Products" section of the Danish pavillion. Like the pavillion's other themes - "Wind Energy", "Water as a Resource" "People at Play" and "Greenland" - the food section has been developed in partnership between the exhibitors and the Danish Agency for the Development of Trade and Industry.

40 million people are expected to visit Expo 2000 which runs until late October.
"In view of the exhibition's main theme, "People, Nature & Technology," food products were an obvious topic for the Danish pavillion", says Torben Olsen, Divisional Director, Europe Division. "Moreover, Expo 2000 provides a golden opportunity for us to introduce our new name."
