Arla Foods Ingredients is expanding in Mexico as a result of rising sales of milk proteins.

”Due to increased sales, a high growth rate and large market potential as well as our wish to improve customer service, we’re setting up a representative office in Mexico City,” says Jan Faurholt Jensen, Director of AFI USA.

Arla Foods Ingredients has sold functional milk proteins to the Mexican market for several years, primarily to the dairy industry. Compared to some other South American countries, the Mexican economy is stable and local consumers’ purchasing power is continually improving.

The products for the Mexican market will be supplied by Arla Foods Ingredients’ whey protein factory in Argentina. The Mexican operation currently employs one person.
