Like Express Dairies, one of the other large players in the UK dairy market, the Scottish dairy company Robert Wiseman Dairies, recorded a gain for the past financial year.
Wiseman achieved a pre-tax profit of £22.8 million, i.e. an advance of 38% against last year. The company exclusively produces liquid milk and the increase should be seen on the background of a volume growth in milk sales to the UK market of 11.7% to just over 1 billion litres.
