Arla Foods Global Trade Policy & Food Regulatory Affairs team in Aarhus are looking for a strong senior consultant to facilitate trade with milk and dairy products, globally. As part of the team you will enable the business to exploit opportunities in global trade policy and food regulatory Affairs, secure compliance and create good growth. Global Trade Policy & Regulatory Affairs is a corporate service centre providing services to all business units and product categories in the Arla Group.
Ensure free movement of milk and dairy products
You will be driving regulatory activities on a global scale. Your overall objective is to provide strategic and ad hoc-assistance to the business units on legal requirements related to production, new product development and communication - including food labeling, use of claims, evaluation of new technology and product standards etc.
You will have an important role in influencing trade agreements and supporting the business in relation to comply with trade administrative issues (import duties, barriers to trade, quota agreements, classification of products etc.) to ensure that all Arla products move freely across borders.
On a daily basis, you provide support to the business building up the necessary knowledge and procedures related to global trade policy and food regulatory affairs. You will develop new policies and guidelines when needed and conduct training and compliance seminars.
Food or Law background with deep business understanding
You hold a Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Human Nutrition or similar, or have a background in Law. You possess a passion for and a thorough understanding of the food industry and experience on trade policy, the administrative rules governing trade and food regulatory affairs.
You have a deep business understanding for the full value chain in a food company, a global mindset and the capabilities to take our services and support to the next level. You know that clear and concise communication is an important key to success. Additionally, it is important that you have solid interpersonal skills and the power to interact with authorities and decision-makers. Lastly, you speak and write English, and it would be an advantage if you speak more languages. The international dimension of this job will to some extent take you travelling.
