Sales Manager Foodservice / Out-of-home, Paris

If you are looking for an opportunity to boost your career as well as your personal skills, this is your chance. You will join the Sales Team Arla France based in Paris. We execute sales activities in close cooperation with local distributors and customers. 

As Sales Manager you report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Arla European Head Quarters. Within the frame of the commercial policy and marketing guidelines, you give strategy and sales target recommendations to distributors, food service companies and key account users. You coordinate all customer relationships through national agreements which you are in charge of negotiating. Furthermore you are responsible for the optimal use of all operating leverages (listings, promotions, concepts, trade ect) to optimize the business. You are in charge of the team of sales agents within the French market.

Your main activities

  • Analysis of customer specificities (distributors, catering and chained food companies, Cash & Carry and public customers) to guide action
  • Define and recommend food service channel attractiveness and corresponding Arla’s business development plans in France
  • Recommend global and appropriate customer assortment and promotional plans
  • Define the ad hoc offers and recommend the most appropriate partnership action plans (sales, marketing and logistics)
  • Negotiate the national agreements (conditions, range, communication within the banner, promotional actions, etc.)
  • Prospect, alone or in connection with his team, Key users and key accounts 
  • Monitor the turnover, profitability, counterparties and business leverages (Numerical and value distribution, market shares, selling prices etc.)
  • Monitor Key account budgets (contracts, invoices etc.)
  • Define, propose and implement corrective actions during the year if necessary

What we expect from you

  • At least 7 years of experience in a Sales role with proven track record within Foodservice / Out-of-home of an international best-in-class FMCG company
  • You have gained leadership experience from e.g. a people leadership role or leading projects
  • You are permanently looking for business opportunities and act out of own engagement to make this opportunity become reality 
  • Being a self-starter that does not need nor want permanent direction from a manager to drive his own business
  • You are a both a visionary business developer but also a hands-on personality that desires to drive sales with a direct interaction with your customers
  • You speak French on mother tongue level and are business fluent in English
