QEHS Site Manager, Kruså

Are you ready to set the QEHS agenda for the production at our site in Kruså, in the southern part of Denmark? We are 200 employees, and we annually produce 28,000 tons of white cheese, primarily sold under the Apetina® brand. You will be part of a fast-paced and exciting dairy environment with a high complexity in the production flow and seasonality – and a dairy where we continuously navigate between branded & private label products.

High product quality and work environment standards
As QEHS Site Manager you will have the overall responsibility for our management systems - within safe work environment, quality management, food safety and environment - ensuring that our production always meets the standards and requirements from customers, Arla Foods and legal authorities. You will continuously strive to improve our products and ways of working by developing and managing the QEHS function. You will be in charge of a team of dedicated employees in our QEHS department, including our site laboratory.

As leader you walk the talk, you are genuine, and you act as a team player and role model for all employees. Lean will be a natural part of your everyday work, and you are in charge of embedding Lean into our way of working to ensure, that we are always on top of our QEHS processes to maintain our elevated standards of quality, environment, health and safety.

As part of the site’s management team you will be an important asset for our site’s future strategy, performance and culture. As such, you will co-develop and execute short and long-term plans in close dialogue with your colleagues in the site management team.

Lastly, this job will give you a wide contact surface and interaction with customers, colleagues from Arla’s central QEHS department and other sites.

Decisive, robust and with solid food manufacturing experience
You have leadership experience from a quality or production function, and you preferably hold a university degree in dairy engineering, food science or a comparable discipline. You have already proven that you are a competent and open-minded leader with the ability to see the big picture to create direction, build commitment and guide your employees to perform at their very best hereby create improvements. You have experience with government compliance, quality systems and audits. Given that your overriding objective is to make sure that customers and stakeholders are satisfied and confident buying our products, you play a key role in ensuring that the quality department is properly educated and trained. As we are focusing intensively on safe working environment, it is important that you are able to continue our positive results. Lastly, you have strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
