Then we could have the job for you as Project Manager in Supply Chain Excellence. We are responsible for driving product and process optimization projects across Arla Foods’ dairies globally.
Identify, analyse and implement improvements
The main purpose of your job is to support the strategy of Arla Foods’ all the way from analytical preliminary work, over continuous improvements of product and production processes to evaluation using relevant statistical methods and Manufacturing Intelligence tools.
Overall, you support the dairies in using our statistical tools and software across the organisation. Moreover, you supply HR with relevant input, e.g. on course descriptions, and hereby enable us to develop the right statistical competencies in the right places. You will also get the opportunity execute courses for employees at dairies.
In this job you actively contribute to developing and anchoring a strong statistical process control mind-set at our sites. The job is a 12 months’ maternity cover starting January 2017.
Open-minded expert within statistical process control
You hold an MSc in Food or Dairy Science, Chemo metrics, Chemistry or similar engineering discipline which has given you the theoretical foundation to become an expert in statistical methods and software programmes. Ideally, you have 5 years of experience in a similar role. Whether your experience derives from the food, pharmaceutical or another industry, you understand production processes. Your background covers vast experience using univariate and multivariate data analyses on process data as well as solid experience with process optimisation and in-line measurements using Manufacturing Intelligence.
It motivates you to achieve sustainable results, and you continuously think in terms of utilising process data in an even better way. You thrive on ensuring fact-based recommendations to management for decision-making, showing initiative and power. It comes naturally to you to connect to people, and you are person who listens and collaborate effortlessly with colleagues regardless of their position. You take pride in following through on your tasks and ensuring timely deliveries and consistent communication to everyone in the projects. Finally, you have a solid command of English, and preferably also German or a Scandinavian language.
You will be working across various dairies, primarily in Denmark and UK, but also in Germany and Sweden. Hence, you will spend a considerable amount of your time away from your base, which either can be Aarhus, Denmark or Leeds, UK.
The duration of the projects will vary from case to case, but you have the opportunity to go home during weekends. In total, you can expect to travel up to 30 per cent of your time.
