Production Operative, Settle

We currently have a vacancy at our Settle Creamery for a Production Operative, working to an annualised hours, rotating shift pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be operating high speed filling equipment, with prime responsibility for maximising output efficiencies, consistent with the maintenance of strict quality, hygiene and safety standards. You will follow KPIs for the department, applying procedures and instructions regarding food safety (HACCP).

Specific training will be provided but previous experience of working in a lean manufacturing / production environment would be desirable. The ability to work on fast moving production machinery is essential and a mechanical aptitude will be advantageous. With a keen eye for detail you will be self motivated and a strong team player with a drive to achieve targets. To be successful in this role you will need to be numerate and literate, you must be reliable confident have good verbal and communication skills coupled with the ability to work on their own initiative.
