We handle all external financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS and local legislation as well as provide a high level of quality in the reporting and processing.
You will be part of Corporate Finance, responsible for the financial management of Arla. Our aim is to be true business partners and continuously improve our performance while offering our employees a challenging and rewarding place to work.
High-quality reporting and implementation of new standards
You will join a team of external accounting specialists, and together you are responsible for project managing and delivering financial reporting of high quality to the top management and external stakeholders. You will function as our in-house Business Partner on accounting issues, including M&A activities, and you will guide the Finance Managers in our affiliates. In this respect, you ensure control and reporting of our legal entities and coordinate external audit together with different business units. As we continuously strive to improve our performance, you will be involved in both cross-functional and international projects in close cooperation with other finance units.
In addition, you will be involved in the implementation of new accounting standards and finance policies, including the optimisation of reporting processes across our legal entities and Shared Service Center in Gdansk, Poland. This job will enable you to develop a broad spectrum of finance skills and obtain thorough knowledge of Arla’s business, and you can foresee world-wide networking prospects. You will play a major role in the written presentations of our annual report as well - and your communication skills will be tested to the limit.
Experienced and highly analytical Accountant
Ideally, you hold a degree e.g. in Accounting, Finance or Economics. In any case, you must have solid knowledge and practical experience within accounting as well as strong analytical skills. You have a structured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and excel in stakeholder management at all levels. At a personal level, you are known for having an unmistakeably open attitude and personal authority, and you show initiative and are forward-thinking. Furthermore, you have an enterprising and engaging personality, and you enjoy working in a changing environment that requires a high degree of flexibility.
Other qualifications include strong, documented communication and presentation skills, a creative mind-set and fluency in written and spoken English.
