Global environmental strategy 2020

Arla have worked with environmental strategies for decades with emphasis on different environmental aspects. In our 2020 strategy we have taken a 'lifecycle management' perspective - from cow to consumer. Our environmental strategy 2020 focuses on:

Sustainable agriculture

We want to source milk and other agricultural material which have been farmed in a sustainable manner

Greenhouse gas emissions

We want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout our entire supply chain - from cow to consumer

Water and energy

We have respect for resources by reducing consumption and changing from fossil to renewable energy sources

Zero waste

We want to avoid waste however when this is not possible we treat waste as a resource to be reused or recycled - we call this zero waste
